Vincent Gruppuso, founder of the Long Island-based dessert company Kozy Shack Enterprises, died on December 29, 2007 from complications of diabetes, reports The New York Times.
Kozy Shack is notable for being one of the first mainstream food companies to market its high-quality desserts—most notably its signature rice pudding (pictured)—with a "Gluten Free" label.
